Xtreme Op Maat

No — the Xtreme only works with its own R26 and R29 filters, not the Pro filters used in earplugs like the MusicSafe custom-made. These filters are matched specifically to the Xtreme's unique design, which is what gives it the highest attenuation in our range. Fit them in another model and you won't get that same level of protection.

That depends on how loud your environment is. The R26 (26 dB) gives you solid protection in noisy surroundings, while the R29 (29 dB) is our highest attenuation, built for the most extreme situations. Change your mind later? Switching filters is easy, and free.

Both give you top-level protection, but the Xtreme's filters are interchangeable and the WorkSafe's aren't. The Xtreme's material is also slightly firmer, which can make it last a little longer — without any loss of wearing comfort.

The Xtreme is made from soft silicone, for a comfortable, precise fit. Allergic to silicone? Get in touch with our customer service team and we'll happily talk through your options.

Yes — we want you 100% happy with your custom-made Xtreme. That's why we offer a 100-day fit guarantee: if it doesn't fit right, we'll take a new fitting and make you a new pair, free of charge. Still not happy? Then our money-back guarantee kicks in.

We don't have fixed contracts with health insurers for custom-made earplugs, including the Xtreme, but your insurer may cover part of the cost — it's worth checking your policy. If you work somewhere with extremely high noise levels, your employer may be legally required to reimburse hearing protection like the Xtreme, under Dutch health and safety law (Arbowet).

Absolutely — quality comes first. We check every product multiple times, before and after production. Without a proper fit test, we can't guarantee your Xtreme offers 100% protection, so we recommend booking one as soon as you receive them, then annually after that.

It can take a bit of getting used to at first. Hold the earplug between your thumb and index finger and ease it gently into your ear, logo facing forward. To take it out, pull gently upwards with your index finger, just below your earlobe — that lets air in between the earplug and your ear, so the Xtreme comes loose more easily.
