Dangerous - removal pull tabs snapped off

I used these earplugs for several months with good results, but recently when I tried to remove the right one, the black pull tab to remove it snapped in half. In trying to remove it, I managed to push it so deep in my ear that I almost had to go to the emergency room to remove it. This is a critical design flaw and safety issue.

Kept popping out my ears would not stay in

I have a bit of a problem seating the medium attenuation plugs correctly and the one in my right ear tends to shift a bit after a while, leaving that ear less protected. I suspect this is due to the shape of my ear canal.

However, the heavy attenuation plugs are more easily seated, they tend to stay in place throughout the ride and they provide a quiet, comfortable ride while still enabling me to hear the intercom. I like the pouch that comes with the plugs.

FAQ

Pull the ear up slightly. Place the earplugs in your ear canal and press in until they are comfortable and secure. Once the earplugs are properly placed, you can put on your helmet. At the end of the earplug is a mini-grip, which you can use to easily pull the earplug out of your ear.

  • MotoSafe Race: provide 20dB of attenuation, ideal against wind noise at high speeds above 100 km/h.
  • MotoSafe Tour: provide 17dB of attenuation, ideal against wind noise at lower speeds below 100 km/h. Both models have a soft filter that fits comfortably.

The MotoSafe Pro earplugs are made of a soft, silicone-free material that shapes itself to the ear canal for optimal comfort. They have soft filters for long-lasting comfort and are durable and flexible.

No, the MotoSafe Pros are delivered as universal earplugs that fit most ears regardless of size.

The MotoSafe Pro offers two sets of earplugs for different riding conditions, so you are always protected from harmful noise while still being able to hear important sounds, such as traffic and navigation.

Advice

Earplugs for Formula 1 and MotoGP races

Anyone who visits Formula 1 or MotoGP races knows the track can be deafening. While the sound can give you goosebumps, it's often so loud that it can hurt your ears and cause permanent damage. Motor races can reach 130 decibels, enough to immediately harm your hearing. Sound over 80 decibels is harmful, and exposure duration halves with every 3 decibels increase. To protect yourself, sit further from the track and wear ear plugs like Alpine WorkSafe. Regularly take 'ear breaks' to allow your ears to recover. Enjoy the races safely with proper hearing protection!
