Formule 1® race events

A Formula 1® race is a true spectacle. As a spectator, you sit on the edge of your seat as drivers in the fastest cars in the world compete against each other. The Dutch Grand Prix will be held for the last time on the Zandvoort circuit in 2026. That means you only have two more chances to attend a Formula 1® race in the Netherlands! Don't want to miss these final opportunities? Below is all the information you need to prepare for Formula 1® racing events in 2025, including Formula 1® race dates and tips for proper Formula 1® hearing protection.

F1 ® race events in 2025

A Formula 1® season consists of 19 to 25 races (Grands Prix). These are held in different countries, on either purpose-built circuits or street circuits. Each Grand Prix takes place over a weekend. Usually, there are two free practice sessions on Friday and a third free practice on Saturday, followed by qualifying, which determines the starting grid for Sunday’s race.

Since 2021, sprint races have also been introduced on a trial basis. In 2025, sprint races will take place during six Grand Prix weekends: in China, Miami, Belgium, Austin, Brazil, and Qatar. These short races are held on Saturday, prior to qualifying.

Why do you need hearing protection during F1® race events?

During F1® race events, spectators are exposed to noise levels between 130 and 150 dB. Sound at these volumes can cause immediate and irreversible hearing damage. The only way to protect yourself as a spectator from hearing damage is by wearing proper hearing protection.

Alpine Hearing Protection for F1® Race Events

Alpine has designed special hearing protection for Formula 1® race events. You can choose between the Alpine F1® earplugs and Alpine F1® earmuffs. The earplugs are placed directly in the ear canal, while the earmuffs are worn over the ears like headphones. It’s entirely up to you to decide which feels most comfortable!

For young Formula 1® fans from age 5, we offer the Alpine F1® Racing Muffy.
Good to know: we also have hearing protection available for babies and children under 5.
