Yes, the Alpine Muffy Baby is CE and ANSI certified, meaning it meets the highest safety standards. The product has been thoroughly tested and approved by both parents and babies.

Although hearing protection is safe, it is important to give your baby regular breaks. Use the protection primarily during periods of loud noise. We recommend: wear the hearing protection for a maximum of 3 hours per day and no more than 90 minutes at a time.

The Muffy Baby should fit snugly without being too tight or too loose.

  • Make sure to position the left (L) and right (R) earmuffs correctly by checking the markings on the inside.
  • Place the headband on the forehead, just below the fontanel.
  • Ensure the entire ear is covered by the earmuffs.
  • The letter 'A' on the side of the earmuff should point upwards.

Clean with a damp cloth, lukewarm water, and mild soap.

The headband can be removed by pulling it through the holes and can be hand washed at 30°C. Be sure to close the Velcro fastener beforehand to prevent damage to the Velcro!

The SNR value (Single Number Rating) is a European standard that allows you to compare the noise reduction level of different hearing protectors. Independent laboratories test earplugs and earmuffs to determine the SNR value of an earplug.

In the United States, an NRR (Noise Reduction Rating) is used instead of an SNR. This standard is slightly stricter than the European standard. The higher these ratings, the more the hearing protection reduces noise. Both NRR and SNR ratings are often indicated on Alpine product packaging.
