will buy again

I rode for a couple years with custom ear pro I'd bought for skeet shooting. lost one and bought these. first time on the highway at 85 on a metric bike I was hearing a distinct metal ticking sound I'd never heard before. After about a mile, realized it was the key ring flapping against the triple clamp. we'll worth it

People who give this 3.5 stars or less, are crazy. 5 stars all day long!!

I was skeptical about the product but what would it hurt to try something for $18?!? I got the motorcycle "Red" - 20db. They are soft and they have the push tool to insert them. YOU DON'T NEED TO PUSH THEM ALL THE WAY TO YOUR EAR DRUM! Insert and twist a little until the sound is dulled. I jumped on the highway with my Harley and was impressed. No wind was beating on my eardrums, but the tube and filters in the plugs allowed me to hear the tires of vehicles around me. It does mess with the music you listen to. It cuts out some sounds, but I was able to hear other sounds in songs that I never knew existed. I picked us distant sirens easily. If you have a windscreen on your bike, then I would actually recommend the "Black" tubed 18db ear plugs. If you have no windscreen, the "red" 20db. They removed easily and caused me no pain at all. I HIGHLY recommend!!

Great ear plugs. I have custom mades one that were £120 a pair and they hurt after having the helmet on for over and hour.
Can wear these ones all day with hardly any issues or discomfort. 9/10.

Well worth the price

Comfortable to wear and cuts the wind noise very effectively without making me effectively deaf. I use the touring model of the plugs, and never go for a ride without them since getting my first pair a couple of years ago.

Nice Addition to My Motorcycle Equipment

I routinely do a 90-mile ride that is a combination of highway, feeder road and twisty country roads on my Triumph Tiger 900 GT. When using the Alpine race plugs there is a noticeable improvement regarding two major points:

1. Wind noise at all speeds is noticeably reduced.
2. I can clearly hear voice prompts from Google Maps and music when I could barely hear before without the plugs.

Music is a little muffled as you would expect, however that is a small detail considering the improved and comfortable riding experience that comes with using the Alpine plugs.

FAQ

Pull the ear up slightly. Place the earplugs in your ear canal and press in until they are comfortable and secure. Once the earplugs are properly placed, you can put on your helmet. At the end of the earplug is a mini-grip, which you can use to easily pull the earplug out of your ear.

  • MotoSafe Race: provide 20dB of attenuation, ideal against wind noise at high speeds above 100 km/h.
  • MotoSafe Tour: provide 17dB of attenuation, ideal against wind noise at lower speeds below 100 km/h. Both models have a soft filter that fits comfortably.

The MotoSafe Pro earplugs are made of a soft, silicone-free material that shapes itself to the ear canal for optimal comfort. They have soft filters for long-lasting comfort and are durable and flexible.

No, the MotoSafe Pros are delivered as universal earplugs that fit most ears regardless of size.

The MotoSafe Pro offers two sets of earplugs for different riding conditions, so you are always protected from harmful noise while still being able to hear important sounds, such as traffic and navigation.

Advice

Earplugs for Formula 1 and MotoGP races

Anyone who visits Formula 1 or MotoGP races knows the track can be deafening, with noise levels reaching up to 130 decibels, enough to harm your hearing immediately. To protect yourself, sit further from the track, wear earplugs like Alpine WorkSafe, and take regular 'ear breaks.'
